From signup to your first authenticated certificate in under 10 minutes.
Go to attested.legal and click “Get started.” You can sign up with Google, Microsoft, or email and password.
After signing up, you will be asked to accept the Terms of Service. Review the terms and check the box to continue.
You start on the Essential plan, which includes unlimited uploads, SHA-256 hashing, and case management. Certificate generation and AI Document Review require a Professional subscription ($199/month or $169/month billed annually).
Every piece of evidence in Attested belongs to a case. Cases organize your files and provide the context for certificates, timelines, and motions.
From the dashboard, click “New Case.” Enter:
Click “Create.” Your case appears on the dashboard immediately.
Open your case and click “Upload” (or drag files into the evidence area). Attested accepts:

The hash is the digital fingerprint of your file. If even one byte changes, the hash changes. This is how Attested proves a file has not been altered.
You can upload multiple files at once. Each file gets its own hash and Bates number.
Click any file to open it in the Document Viewer. From here you can:
The Document Viewer never modifies your source file. Annotations, watermarks, and highlights are stored separately and applied at render time. Your file's SHA-256 hash stays identical no matter how much markup you add.
This is the core of Attested. An FRE 902(13) certificate is a court-admissible document that attests to the authenticity of your evidence by certifying its SHA-256 hash, upload timestamp, and chain of custody.
From the Document Viewer toolbar, click the certificate icon (or select “Generate Certificate” from the actions menu). Choose:

Download the certificate and file it with your court submission. The certificate is itself hashed and logged in the audit trail.
To share a file with opposing counsel, co-counsel, or an expert, use the Share function from the case detail page. Enter the recipient's email address. They receive a secure link to view the file with:
You are notified when the recipient views the file.
